All the best schools in India encourage its students to become creative. But since every coin has two sides, with the advancement of modern technology creativity is getting less nowadays. Modern technology is helping student’s helps me creative but some students are using this technology in the wrong sense and becoming less creative in nature. It is the solemn duty of every school to take essential steps in order to save the creativity for the students.

GD Goenka, Rohtak is one of the top CBSE schools in India which is encouraging its students to become more and more creative. Creativity is an essential part of student life and Sir Ken Robinson who is an international education advisor and motivational speaker things that the issue lies in the system’s negligence and we need to promote 3 principles that helps to grow the human mind. These are as follows:-

1.     Diversity –

It is very important for students to explore different topics. Both the Maths and Science subjects are important for education but it is very important to maintain a balance in education by including Humanities, Physical education and even practical real-world classes which will develop functional Independence among the students. Instead of promoting diversity, the educational system promotes conformity.

2.     Curiosity –

Every student should have a desire to explore and it is the duty of every teacher to build curiosity among its students. Unfortunately, the system promotes obedience rather than curiosity. Students are not usually encouraged instead they are being instructed. It goes the same for all the teachers. It is very hard to find a teacher that hopes to inspire and change lives and it is not in compliance with systems expectations to inhibit their ability to do so.

3.     Creativity –

We need creativity in our education system not as an engagement but as a tool. Instead of creativity, the education system is promoting standardization. But the most important thing is creativity rather than standardization. We need to teach our students to be creative and to innovate new things. You should tell your students that it is very normal to fail and they should learn from their failures. You need to tell students that knowledge is very flexible it can be applied outside of the specific context. Education is a social thing and not just an institutional thing. Power should be established in the classroom for both the teachers and their students. This will be very effective and will help education to flow in an efficient way. These are some ways to facilitate creativity among students.
