  1. Teaching Your Child About “Stranger Danger” Is A Complete NO: You should understand that every stranger is not dangerous for your child. In fact, a Predator will look Just like anyone else and will always approach your children in a friendly way. So you should not invoke a picture of a scary person in your child’s mind. Teach your child to not judge someone by their appearance rather tell them to judge someone by the way they actually talk. Teach him the actual difference between manipulation and talking so he can easily distinguish who is a real person and who is a predator? Also, teach him if somehow he gets lost, he should always look for a mother with kids or contact a patrolling police officer for help.
  1. Educate Your Child That Adults Don’t Usually Want Help From Children: Teach your child that adults don’t usually need help from children. If they want to find their pet or need any direction they will contact another adult and they will not usually communicate with the child.
  1. Let Your Child Know That It’s Very Okay To Scream, Yell Or Say No To An Adult If They Feel Uncomfortable Or Scared: Good manners are important and we usually teach our children to listen to elders and not to be disruptive but if an adult is doing something wrong to them or misbehaving with your child, teach your child that it is very normal to disobey them. Tell them to be loud when they feel they are being molested. Role-play with your child and teach them correct measures that they can take in this sort of situation.
  1. Teach Them How To Be Cautious And Aware Of Identifying Clothing: Any abductor can easily identify your child and can get any sort of valuable information by just looking at their school uniform or personalized t-shirt that your child wears in day to day life. This can trick your child into believing that they know them. In order to keep them safe, talk with your child regularly about all the dangers and what they can do to stay away from dangerous situations. Also, tell them not to communicate with any strangers outside normally.
