The students of GD Goenka International School Rohtak actively performed an activity based on Surface Area and Volume. The activity involves 3-D Constructional view of various objects like Cone, Cylinder, and Hemisphere etc. This activity helps students to learn practically the concept of surface area and volume and visualize various 3- D objects from all possible directions. The formation of objects like cone is formed by using waste material that exist in the surroundings of the school i.e. newspaper, empty cardboard box, paste of flour and colour paper. The main concept behind this activity was to involve students to utilize and recycle wastage to learn some concepts of Mathematics.
