Now, let us talk about how the reservation system is killing young talents in India.
India is basically a third world developing country having many youths with amazing potential. This generation has so many potentials, aims, and ideas that can literally be converted into some world defining products, services and much more. There are many colleges and schools in India. To get admission to these schools and colleges you need to get at least 94% in your entrance exams. Even after that many students crack this 94 percentage cut off and get admission to these good schools and colleges of India and then become successful and get respect from all around the world for their achievements. Some of them even become role models for others and many others want to become just like them in the future. Now, it can happen that these kids might be or might not be more intelligent and superior than the role model but they might have a sense of creativity and other kinds of Ideas that have different potential in society. But here comes the role of the Indian reservation system. A system that literally shattered the future of many young generations. This reservation system usually puts the caste system ahead of logic and the potential.
The reservation system in India began in the year 1982 when the constitution of India decided that around 15% and 7.5 % of the government job quotas should be reserved for the Scheduled caste and Scheduled Tribes of India respectively anti-government also agreed on the fact that this number will be reviewed after every 5 years. During the year 1990, the then Prime Minister of India Vishwanath Pratap Singh declared that there will be a 50% reservation among all the government bodies which includes school and college admission and also government jobs. This declaration was made by the help of the Mandal Committee report who studied the reservation system quota at that time and since then no efforts were given by the government to review this quota system again and the young talents of India are getting wasted because of this system.
