August is an eventful month, as it marks national, religious and social festivals such as Independence Day, Friendship Day, Raksha Bandhan, Janamashtmi and Ganesh Chaturthi. Hence, our children are exposed to the essence and flavour of these festivals through fun-filled events and celebrations involving music, dance, skits, stories, activities.

At GDGIS celebrations of these festivals have become an integral part of joyful learning, , and thought provoking processes.
An Inter Class Rakhi Making Competition was held at our school on 18th of August, 2016.from classes III to X.

It was truly a delight to watch our artisans put together intricate material and fondly fiddle for mirrors, ornaments; adhesive etc..Their creativity was worth praising to deliver beautiful and extremely creative masterpieces.

The Rakhis made were an enviable lot and a fusion of modern with traditional, stylish with contemporary.

Needless to say, this also inculcates the much required qualities of sensitivity, simplicity, creativity, tolerance, peace and companionship in our children
