GD Goenka School Rohtak – celebrated 70th Independence Day with great fervour. It was our pleasure to have Dr. Satish Sharma, a well-renowned pediatrician, as Chief Guest. The day began with unfurling the tricolor and paying tribute to countless martyrs by singing national anthem in a dignified way.
The atmosphere was full of decoration added to the glamour of the day. Asst. Director introduced “Chief Guest” of the day and extended gratitude for gracing the event with his presence. The patriotic songs sung by the choir group reverberated in the school assembly ground. Dance troupe exhibited young talent with their smart and expressive moves. Special tribute was paid to unsung heroes by dramatisation of a short play. In their vibrant costumes with perfection of dialogue delivery, students ignited the environment and successfully gave a message of considering responsibility towards nation as priority before selfish gains.
Chairman Sir, Chief Guest, and Principal Ma’am quoted famous sayings, mentioning freedom fighters and spoke about how India’s bright future lies in the hands of responsible youth.
