With the beginning of chilly winters, foggy days and laziness is very much obvious. To break the monotony, Primary Wing of GD Goenka International School, Rohtak made the environment colourful with the celebration of Flower Day. Our blooming buds decorated their classrooms with different flowers. They did flower making activity.
Their teachers told them stories and poems related to flowers. Also, the children were encouraged to speak whatever they knew about this amazing gift of God to mankind. They talked about different types of flowers, its importance and uses. Their smiles and laughter on getting handmade hairbands and wristbands added to the beauty of the day.
When we talk about activity oriented teaching, this is what we really mean. Simple concept of flowers can be taught very innovatively to the children which leaves long lasting impact on their minds. Through such activities, audio-visual learning, concept enforcement, motor skills development and fun-learning happen at the same time.
