For the overall development of a child, curriculum is not only the single criteria. The holistic growth as well as to develop the various facets of personality development of children classroom teaching should be supplemented with co-curricular activities.
These class activities affect all domains of life such as cognitive, emotional, social, moral, cultural and aesthetic. Co-curricular activities are more focused upon cognitive aspects thereby help in intellectual development. Creativeness, enthusiasm and quality achievements are few ethics of extracurricular activities and it strengthens the meaning of co-curricular activities in school.
To ensure the same GD Goenka International School Rohtak always keeps performing these kinds of activities for the shiny stars of the school. Instilling traditional values in our tiny toddlers has been an important part of our school.
The “Diya Making” activity was done by the tiny toddlers of nursery. The main focus of the activity was to teach the tiny toddlers the shape ‘Oval’ with the help of making Diya , it was easy to teach them about the Oval shape and the children also enjoyed recognizing the shape. They decorated their diyas with beads, mirrors, glitters, stars, shiny papers etc. They thoroughly enjoyed the “Diya Making” activity and come to know about the importance of Diwali.
What a colorful, joyful and energetic day it was. !!
